Waifu Wednesday (Homura Akemi edition!)

Because people get angry when they aren’t told sometimes, there are spoilers in this post! If you are watching or haven’t watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica and don’t want to be spoiled, you’ve been warned!

Hi, hi! ^_^ It’s Waifu Wednesday! Today, it’s all about Puella Magi Madoka Magica‘s Homura Akemi. She is by far one of my all time favorite characters. The sacrifices she made for her friend are absolutely insane. Not to mention, throughout the 12 episodes and 3 movies, you get to see her transform completely. We get to see her go from shy Moemura to completely badass to god devourer.

I love not only how much we got to see Homura grow but how we also got to see so many different forms of her, from twintail braids and glasses to that stone cold attitude. This series amazed me in the way it was able to show so many different characters and their growth within so few episodes. Many people dislike Homura but I have a different view. I’m with the ‘Homura Did Nothing Wrong’ team, because yes, she does become a witch…yes, she does kill a god…who was her best friend, BUT this all only happened because she made a wish to save her best friend without knowing that there was no way to save her. It’s kind of that ‘Die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain’ mentality.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I have many more posts to come with potential waifu material (for me at least!). Remember, if you have a waifu you would like me to post about, leave me a comment!
