Best Soundtrack

Hi, hi! Welcome to day 8 of the video game challenge posts! Today’s challenge is ‘best soundtrack’.

This is so hard! No joke. There are so many fantastic soundtracks out there so what I will do today is I will choose the one that’s appealed to me the most recently.

I’ve recently started playing the Persona games and I started with Persona 4 Golden. One of the things I enjoyed the most about it was the music. I’ve just started Persona 3 Portable this month and I’m not enjoying the soundtrack nearly as much. Persona 4 Golden has a phenomenal soundtrack. I would find it on youtube and listen to it while doing chores around the house.

And then I bought Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night is a rhythm game with the characters from Persona 4 Golden and a few new characters with a whole new story line. I’ve never played a rhythm game with a story line! I won’t go into too many details about the game itself though because I’m writing a review post for it.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night did not only bring back the characters from Persona 4 Golden, but also the music. I was a little iffy on it at first because my absolute favorite song from Persona 4 Golden, ‘Heartbeat, Heartbreak’ didn’t seem like it could be properly remixed without slaughtering it. I was wrong.

The way they remixed the songs was just amazing. The Persona 4: Dancing All Night OST is now my go to soundtrack to help me concentrate or to get me going when I need to do things around the house.

It’s just an absolutely fantastic game. It’s a bit short but I think the story was well done as well as the music! Plus, it means more super cute merchandise! :3

If you like rhythm games and the Persona series, I highly recommend it. I’m no good at rhythm games usually, but this one was actually pretty easy to get used to. ^_^
